The world-leading research scientists at the Royal North Shore Hospital Pain Management Research Institute (PMRI) are at the forefront of developing and implementing new treatments for chronic pain, in a world where deprescribing opioids is now the focus. Professor Paul Glare and his team are developing breakthroughs which will assist patients without them having to physically attend a clinic, a huge leap forward for rural and regional patients.

Hear about the latest research into the issues surrounding opioids, the effect on the community and research into non-pharmacological, evidence-based, and safe pain management strategies in a 46-minute Zoom webinar hosted by the Pain Foundation.

Speakers are:
Sami Lukis – Moderator and pain patient; Prof Paul Glare – Chair, Pain Medicine, University of Sydney; A/Prof Claire Ashton-James – Social Psychologist, Pain Management; and Amy McNeilage – Senior Research Officer, Pain Management.
